The Ogden Bears are a part of the national Pop Warner Little Scholars program that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants in 41 states and several countries around the world. Consisting of over 360,000 young people the Pop Warner program is the largest youth football and cheer program in the United States. As the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner and the Ogden Bears are committed to developing America's young people on the field and off. Participants in our organization come from all over the greater Rochester, New York area including Spencerport, Greece, Gates, Brockport, Churchville and Hilton to name a few. |

Congratulations to the 2009 Junior Midgets on winning the 1st ever Ogden Regional Championship 27-26 over North Brunswick. The bears fought back from behind four times in this one, they trailed 8-0, 14-6, and 20-14 and 26-21 before winning it 27-26. What a game, what a team. The coaches were great, the fans were great and above all the kids were awesome!! This game was so exciting that the cheerleaders for the game following this one started doing cheers for the Bears from outside the field and had the fans joining in. Great job Bears!!! |

Our Junior Pee Wee team played the Suffern Midget Mountaineers on Saturday 11/28 for the JR PW State Championship. Our Jr. Pee Wee's trailed 26-8 at halftime but came roaring back in the second half to just fall short 33-31. These guys had an excellent season and played strong all the way through. Congratulations on a very successful season |

Our Pee Wee team finished a very good season on Saturday, unfortunately they lost the State Championship game to the Valley Cottage Indians 21-8. The Bears lead 8-6 late in the 3rd quarter but couldn't hold on. Congratulations on a very successful season!! |

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JUNIOR MIDGETS ON DEFEATING THE 10TH WARD TIGERS 27-12 TO WIN THE WNY DIVISION III CHAMPIONSHIP. They will now go on to face 7-0 Dolgeville in the Regional playoffs and try to win Ogdens first ever Regional Championship. Our Pee Wee's lost a tough one to Fairport 8 - 0 in their Championship game and the Junior Pee Wee Black team also lost a heartbreaker 25 - 20 to Fairports Junior Pee Wee team in their championship game. Both the Pee Wee's and Junior Pee Wees will go on to compete for a state title. Playoff Update: Junior Pee Wee Black defeated Canastota of Tri Valley 31 - 0 on Saturday 11/7, they will now play the winner of the Waterville Vs Fulton game being played on 11/8. The Pee Wees defeated Dexter 22 - 0 on Sunday 11/8 to advance to the second round of the state playoffs they will play the winner of Cicero (CNY) and Northern Community (Tri-Valley). Congratulations to Ogden for sending 3 teams to the championship games and good luck to all the rest of the way...... |
