The Ogden Bears are a part of the national Pop Warner Little Scholars program that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants in 41 states and several countries around the world. Consisting of over 360,000 young people the Pop Warner program is the largest youth football and cheer program in the United States. As the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner and the Ogden Bears are committed to developing America's young people on the field and off.

Participants in our organization come from all over the greater Rochester, New York area including Spencerport, Greece, Gates, Brockport, Churchville and Hilton to name a few.

Are you interested in Coaching?

We currently in need of Cheer Coaches for the Mitey-Mite Level.  If you are 21 years old and interested in volunteering your time to help these kids learn the basics of cheerleading and the fun in participating in a team sport, please contact the Cheer Director: Kristen Green (585) 414-6100 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You will need to be CPR/First Aid Certified (Ogden will provide you with the necessary training at no cost)

Attend Practices 3 times a week and games on Sunday

If a demonstrator is needed please let me know one can be provided for you!

All board members, coaches, and team parents are required to fill out a volunteer application form.  A new form is required each year so prior staff members will need to fill it out as well.  We need to process the forms much earlier this year so please get them filled out as soon as possible and turned in to Bob Heimrich.  Note, the form consist of two pages, make sure you fill out both pages.

Here are the top 3 websites that I recommend for cheer curls. Each site calls the style something different so I have noted the style for each site. Please note that if your athlete chooses to cut her hair 1 1/2" above shoulder, she does not have to wear a hair piece.
